Georgia Saltwater Adventures is a full-service charter operation fishing the waters around St. Simons Island, Jekyll Island, and Cumberland Island, led by Captain Kevin Dezern with Captain Dave Madray as a core guide on the team. Captain Kevin has fished coastal Georgia his entire life and has been a professional guide since 2004, logging hundreds of trips each year. That time on the water shows in how trips are planned and run, with a strong emphasis on reading conditions, understanding seasonal movement, and putting guests in the right place at the right time rather than relying on fixed routes or canned patterns.

The charter offers both inshore and offshore fishing across Georgia’s marshes, estuaries, and Atlantic waters. Inshore trips work the creeks, sounds, and nearshore structure of the Golden Isles, targeting species such as spotted seatrout, redfish, flounder, tripletail, whiting, and sharks. These trips stay flexible and can be adjusted to suit families, first-time anglers, or more experienced fishermen who want to focus on specific species. Seasonal specialty trips include bull redfish in the fall, tarpon during the summer migration, and dedicated shark trips that can be tailored for either large trophy fish or steady action closer to shore.

Offshore trips range widely depending on trip length and goals, running anywhere from 10 miles out to more than 60 miles offshore. Anglers may troll or bottom fish for king mackerel, Spanish mackerel, cobia, amberjack, grouper, snapper, black sea bass, barracuda, sailfish, and more. Longer runs to the Snapper Banks and deeper bottom areas are a highlight for anglers focused on quality eating fish, with trips commonly producing multiple snapper species along with grouper and triggerfish. These extended offshore trips are best suited for anglers who want a full day on the water and are comfortable running farther to reach productive grounds.

Georgia Saltwater Adventures runs private charters for up to six people per boat and can arrange multiple boats for larger groups, corporate outings, or even informal tournaments. Captain Dave Madray is especially well known for inshore and family trips, bringing a patient, high-energy approach that puts new anglers at ease while still fishing effectively. What stands out about this operation is the depth of local experience combined with the ability to scale trips from simple family outings to serious offshore fishing, all while keeping boats clean, communication clear, and the focus on a well-run day on the water rather than hype or overpromising.
